Programmes of Study

The School offers a comprehensive programme of study of Greek Language and Culture for all ages. We run a Nursery Class on Saturdays, our Primary School on Saturday and Wednesday, Classes for GCSE, AS and A2 and Greek Language classes for adults on Saturdays and Wednesdays. We also run a Greek Dance class every Saturday.

Nursery School

The Nursery School operates every Saturday (9:30 am – 13:00 pm) and Wednesday (6:30 pm – 8:30 pm) and is open to all children from the age of 4. Children are taught Greek through play and activities designed to make learning an enjoyable activity.

Primary School

The Primary School operates every  Saturday (9:30 am – 13:00 pm) and Wednesday (6:30 pm – 8:30 pm) and it admits children between the ages of 6 and 13. The School offers small class tuition in Greek language and individual tuition is offered to children who need extra help. Cultural and religious  activities are an important part of the curriculum so that the children develop a lasting appreciation the Hellenic heritage and of the orthodox faith.

GCSE in Modern Greek

The School follows the EDEXEL syllabus in Modern Greek. The course is taught by very experienced teachers and invariably our students obtain an A grade during their examinations. An invaluable course for those who want to acquire a good understanding of Greek and be able to communicate comfortably.  The School goes beyond the specification of the syllabus and places particuar ephasis on developing conversational skills for the students. The Course is taught every Saturday.

AS and A2 in Modern Greek

The School follows the EDEXEL syllabus in Modern Greek for the Advanced Subsidiary (AS) and Advanced Level (A2). The course is taught by very experienced teachers and invariably our students obtain an A grade during their examinations. An invaluable course for those who want to acquire a deeper understanding of Greek Language and Literature and be able to communicate fluently in Greek.  The School goes beyond the specification of the syllabus and places particuar ephasis on developing conversational skills for the students. The Course is taught every Saturday.

Adult Classes

The School offers a programme of Greek Language to adults with no or limited prior knowledge of Greek. The course concentrates on the development of communication skills in Greek rather than on Grammar and Syntax. The classes run every Wednesday and Saturday.

Greek Dance Lessons

Greek dances are beautiful and elegant expression of joy and the School runs every Saturday a class for those who would like to learn both traditional and modern Greek dances. No prior knowledge or aptitude is required.
